I googled a domain name, purchased it, freaked out and asked for a refund..
Hi I’m Annie, that was me in 2017. I’ve wanted to start a blog for many years, since my Minimalism story began way over a decade ago. But once I purchase the domain name I froze. I didn’t have a clue what to talk about.
If you're after a 10 step plan to a capsule wardrobe or 76 things to remove from your home, you might be in the wrong place. Although I read those blogs myself and love them, but they have all been written before me by other amazing bloggers.
Three years on I finally had my aha moment, I was missing the point completely. We’re all unique and all have a story to tell. I took the pressure off myself to have to create a successful blog, or to make money, or to have a number of followers that would validate my arrival.
I’m here just to write about my musings for well, myself really. To have an outlet to write my life down to nourish my own soul and maybe yours.
I’m a mamma to a teen and young adult, yikes!, partner to a supportive Bob the Builder (aka Mr DL), mamma bear of four legged fur babies and owner of a thriving decade long doggy business.
But I’ve hidden behind all the above titles for many years as I love to live in my comfort zone and I do it well. But for the first time and three years on since my first attempt at blogging, I’m here... hopefully a little stronger and a little wiser and with one keystroke at a time ready to write my musings to the world and hoping someone other than my mum may get to read or benefit.
One of my fav sayings is from Dory - just keep swimming - so that I shall do. I’m sure at times I may start drowning but I’ll put on my floaty's and try to dog paddle to the other side.
I’m not a professional writer, and my stories won't be elegant or curated, more mediocre hot mess kinda vibe.
I'll write stories and short essays on all things Less ~ Minimalism, Wellness and Recipes with less ingredients and less prep steps. I also share in my shop some items that have helped me organise and store everything that remained and past the joy test after I decluttered my life.
So here goes nothing. Maybe one day my words will resonate with one other person or many and maybe just maybe my floaty's will come off and I’ll be swimming freely.
I would love for you to join me, so my Mum is not the only one reading my Blog!
